HERITAGE

Before founding Hyness School of Design, Precious Hyness built her career as a fashion designer, developing collections rooted in craftsmanship, structure, and timeless design.

A graduate of London College of Fashion, Precious went on to create original garments, showcase collections, and receive industry recognition including a Designer of the Year nomination.

Today, that same design philosophy continues to shape Hyness School of Design, where students learn not only how to sew, but how to think creatively, solve design challenges, and develop confidence through making.

Learning The craft Every creative journey begins with learning. My passion for fashion and garment construction led me to study in Oxford before continuing my education at London College of Fashion, where I developed a deeper understanding of design, pattern cutting, garment construction, and the creative process behind bringing an idea to life. These years shaped not only my technical skills but also my belief that creativity can be taught, nurtured, and developed through thoughtful education and practice.
Designing Following my studies, I pursued a career in fashion design, creating original garments and collections rooted in craftsmanship, creativity, and attention to detail. My work gained recognition through runway presentations, a television appearance, and a Designer of the Year nomination. These experiences reinforced my passion for design and gave me valuable insight into the fashion industry, from concept development through to finished collection. The garments featured throughout this page represent an important chapter of that journey and the foundations upon which Hyness School of Design was built.

I had such a lovely experience creating my dream wedding dress with Precious Highness. She listened to all my concerns and was able to put me at my ease so I could fully enjoy the whole process. The journey of sampling fabrics, colours and shaping of the dress was truly amazing. Every bride wants to be breathtakingly beautiful on their wedding day in the dress of their choice. Precious Highness worked with me to achieve that aim and so much more. I felt beautiful and elegant on my wedding day and my husband was captivated by how stunning I looked.

The dress complimented my body, even parts I thought I would be uncomfortable showing like the cowl neck line at the back revealing a part of my back I truly couldn’t believe how elegant it looked. The dress itself moved with my body and I was comfortable wearing it all day and into the evening. It was then I removed the cape on top the dress to reveal a different shape to my wedding dress which became my evening gown. Thank you so very much Precious Hyness
